Hello TCS Families!
These weeks are just FLYING by! I cannot believe it's Thursday already.
We hit some metaphorical speed bumps this week and had to have several sit downs to hash things out. I'm proud of the middle school girls for being open and honest with each other. Everyone did some great work!
I just learned today that one of our freshmen has been going to Dr. Nicole's math class during his lunch period to volunteer to help the middle schoolers with math! This news melted my heart! I don't want to embarrass Guilianno, so we will just call him "wonderful freshman" So proud of our students!
Don't forget that the Senior class is hosting a "Fun Night with Seniors" this Saturday evening! Anyone who wants to donate $20 to the Senior trip, can drop their middle school student off at "The Lodge" (over in the new building) for an evening of fun and games!
I was sad when the first cross country meet of the season was cancelled due to weather- can't wait to see the Swamp Rabbits in action out there!
After Niel Lipsitz last week, we had Shannon Erickson this week, and next week we will have Melinda Henrickson come in and speak to our government class. It is such a wonderful way for students to see local government in action.
We had our first annual Free Tuition Raffle drawing on Monday! The winning ticket was a donation from a friend of my mom's and was split between two lucky students! This fundraiser was our most successful to date, and we will definitely be doing it again next year.
Next week will be a twisty week...several teachers have scheduled leave time and our sub is the pits! (It's me. I'm the sub.) Wish me luck, and show me grace!
Mark your calendars for TWO special events. Friday October 18th is our "Homecoming Dance." This is open to ALL current TCS students. It will run from 7pm-10pm and we will charge $10 for TCS students. (If a TCS student would like to invite and host a student from outside TCS their ticket is $15 and they must follow all TCS behavior expectations.) The second event is Saturday October 19th from 11am-2pm. This is our Homecoming. This is open to all TCS Families- past and present!
