Week 13 of the 2024-2025 School Year

thecompletestudent

Hello TCS Families!

This was a short but busy week, and I had a great time seeing all the students who did dissections in their official "science gear!" It was also wonderful to see so many students working diligently on their projects this week. I've attached a few pics  to this email- enjoy!

Congrats to Savanna Fripp for scoring the highest score on Achieve out of the ENTIRE school! So proud of her!

Important Info:

- We had new front door exit bars installed in the "new building." Students are now able to always exit the building (that has always been the case) but now no one can enter through those doors unless they have a key!

- The students' Friendsgiving will be on Wednesday November 20th at 12pm. We will gather together and eat, play games, and spend time with our TCS family.

- The TCS Chess team heads to the SCISA Chess Tournament on Thursday. Just like in years past, we will keep everyone back at school updated on our team's progress. Let's go Swamp Rabbits! (PS- I'm really hoping for another trophy...I'd like to run out of room this year on our trophy shelves!)

- ALL families have received a text from me regarding our April trip to Nantahla. Thank you very much to all who have responded. The trip cost has gone up to $600, and the dates have shifted to April 8th-10th. This is a Tuesday-Thursday. We would love for all the students to be able to go. Your deadline for telling me if your child will attend is Monday.

- I will be walking down the carline over the next couple of days with a petition to sign for having the speed limit dropped to 30 on Southside. The speed limit on Ribaut and Battery Creek is 30, but they changed Southside to 35. Neighbors have started the petition, and I promised I would share it.

- If you are available Friday morning and have a trailer please go to Moss and Hatchet at 9am to help Mr. Henry load a ton of wood. Thanks! Going along with this plea for help is the fact that Archery is cancelled tomorrow morning

News from the PTO:

3) The Hoodie Design Contest submission deadline has been extended to Monday. Please send your designs to Blaire.
